WebLessons is an easy-to-use learning management system that transforms the chaos of the Internet into a safe, structures learning environment for you ans your students. Entry # 2 Link to Scribd.
Scribd is a type of a social networking website that allows you to publish all kinds of documents ans images to the web. It's great for people who have something to share with the world but don't have a website, technical skills or the patience to publish things in the traditional way.
Creating a membership on Scribd is free and uploading your own works is easy. After you create an account you are given four different options for uploading your document.
You can type in the url of a page that is already published on an existing website(as long as you have the rights to it), upload it directly from your hard drive, copy and paste your text, or if you have a number of works, use the desktop upload tool to publish multiple files at once.
Scribd is not only a creative outlet for the general public, but it is also a valuable resource for business owners, webmasters, students, teachers, researches and politicians. You can find information at Scribd on a wide variety of topics, including business, health, hobbies, humor, law, medicine, pets, religion, science, technology and travel. Scribd claims to have over 17 billions words in their library, five times more than Wikipedia.
Entry # 1 The use of Information Communication Technology in the teaching of English in an ESL/EFL classroom
There has been much debate over the use of computer assisted language learning(technology) in the ESL/EFL classroom over the past decade. As you are reading this feature via the Internet(and I am writing this using a computer), I will assume that you feel that technology is useful to your teaching and/or learning experience.
There are many uses of the computer in the classroom. In today's feature I would like to provide some examples of how I like to use technology in my teaching. I find that technology can be successfully employed not only for grammar practice and correction, but also for communicative activities. As most of you are familiar with the programs that offer with grammar, I would like to focus on the use of technology for communicative activities.
Best Regards.
